Flew through Houston to Guanacaste on the Pacific coast. The Casa Conde del Mar Hotel, Playa Panama, and a few days of doing absolutely nothing productive.

The jet skiing was the highlight — ripping across the Pacific with the Costa Rican coastline behind me. The water was warm, the scenery was ridiculous, and nobody was in a hurry about anything. Pura vida isn’t a saying, it’s a speed.

Costa Rica was proof that not every trip needs to be an expedition. Sometimes you just need warm water and a lack of responsibilities.
